Stitch and Pitch 2011

Come to Nationals Park on Friday, May 13 to cheer on the Washington Nationals as they take on the Florida Marlins at Nationals Park, and bring your knitting, crochet, or even your spinning project! Stitch & Pitch™ is a constantly growing program sponsored by The National Needle Arts Association. Last year, they set a new Guinness World Record for “Most People Crocheting simultaneously” at Mets Citi-Field with 426 crocheters!

This year, Stitch n Pitch™ is celebrating its fifth year, and we are proud to host the first event of the season here in the Nation’s Capital. It’s the perfect opportunity to get some fresh air and make some progress on all of those WIPs. We will have more vendors than ever, with representation from local fiber artists, including Neighborhood Fiber Company, Solitude yarns, and Dragonfly Fibers, of course.

The gates open at 4:30, the vendor area opens at 5:30 and the first pitch is at 7:05 pm. Be one of the first 500 folks into or vendor area and receive a free project bag from the Nats!

Tickets are still available but must be picked up at Fibrespace before the game. The cost is $23. Seats are Left Field Mezzanine.

Be there!
